NH Seacoast Interior Designer
Full-service interiors for coastal homes, renovations and restaurants in Portsmouth, Rye, Hampton and Exeter.
Close to the Seacoast
Ivory & Bone Interiors is a full-service interior design firm based in Newburyport, about half an hour from Portsmouth. Principal designer Katie Goodrich founded the studio in 2013, and we design homes and restaurants across the New Hampshire Seacoast, from Portsmouth and Rye to Hampton and Exeter. We handle everything from the first layout to the final accessory.
Our Seacoast work
Other Seacoast homes include Cutts Avenue and State Street in Portsmouth, Wild Rose Lane in Hampton and Guinea Road in Exeter. Our commercial work includes Coachclub in Hampton, The Treehouse Preschool in Portsmouth and 7North Coffee in Exeter.
Patriots Way, Rye
A Rye, NH home with a sage green kitchen, marble baths, a moody media room and a light-filled sunroom.
Coachclub, Hampton
A Hampton, NH golf club with an indoor putting green, a cognac leather lounge, a wood slat gallery wall and a green tile bar.
How we work on the Seacoast
Seacoast homes range from Federal houses in downtown Portsmouth to shingled cottages in Rye and new construction in Hampton and Exeter. We design for salt air, strong light and the way coastal families live through every season.
We specify performance fabrics, durable finishes and hardware that hold up to salt air, sand and summer guests, while keeping the original details that make older Portsmouth and Rye homes special.
Built for the coast
We order every piece, track lead times and schedule deliveries to Portsmouth, Rye, Hampton and beyond. Every item is received and inspected by our partner warehouse before it reaches your home.
Procurement handled end to end
We collaborate with your architect and general contractor, or refer trusted trades if you need them.
Half an hour away
Our Newburyport studio is about 30 minutes from Portsmouth, so we’re on site often, from early walkthroughs to install day.

What Seacoast clients say
“We moved from Manhattan to an over 4,000 sq. foot home in Portsmouth. Katie was able to expertly discover the design aesthetic we were seeking. The process was highly collaborative, and she is patient and dedicated to finding just the right pieces at the right price point.”
Kellyanne McCue, Portsmouth“One of Katie’s biggest strengths is taking what you like and what you don’t like and helping you create your own unique style. She executes, and as a business owner, that is what you need. When giving tours, people are in love with the space.”
Kristin Fichera, The Treehouse School, Portsmouth“We hired Katie to help us design our juice bar in Durham, NH. She listened closely to our ideas and did an amazing job translating that vision into a work of art. We were so happy that we have now used her on two other projects.”
