Gallop Way

A Groveland, Massachusetts home in forest green, walnut and brass: a classic green kitchen, a jewel-box powder room in rose and aubergine, and a deep green tiled primary bath.

About the project

Gallop Way is a Groveland, Massachusetts home built on saturated color used with restraint. We anchored the house in deep forest green, then warmed it with walnut, aged timber, marble and unlacquered brass.

In the kitchen, green shaker cabinetry meets honed black stone counters and backsplash, brass hardware and wide-plank oak floors. A rustic timber beam caps the plaster range hood, open shelves flank the window, and a ceramic pendant hangs above the island.

The powder room is the jewel box: rose plaster walls over glossy aubergine tile, a fluted marble console sink on brass legs, and a sunburst mirror. An equestrian print nods to the name of the house.

In the primary bath, deep green glazed tile runs floor to ceiling against a walnut double vanity and brass fixtures. A freestanding tub and a glass-enclosed shower with exposed brass fittings sit on a marble mosaic floor.

The result feels layered and lived-in: moody where it counts, and warm everywhere else.
